12-18 morning fluff

12-18 morning fluff

i couldn’t resist a quick shot of the cloth diapers we’re slowly accumulating. i’ve been working hard to stay gender-neutral. it’s easier to avoid the pinks and purples and girl colors than it is to avoid blues, but i don’t have a problem putting a girl in blue. whether it’s baby A or baby E, i think their little bum will be well-covered. there’s some pockets/all-in-ones on their way that probably won’t arrive until after Christmas and i need to find us a couple small covers. then, i can officially say we’re done until the baby gets bigger. i’ve got more prefolds than i know what to do with, snappis, a large variety of fitteds, pul and wool covers (i’d actually like 2 more wool covers), and i’ll be making some fleece stay-dry liners. eventually, i hope to also have some hemp doublers and a few other one-size pockets.

it’s so much fun to have variety!

I have to say I am totally jealous of the fluff! I would go for it…I don’t even know where I would start for a newborn…
I bought a few for Riley over the summer, but not enough to make a whole day’s worth..
You definitely are encouraging me for the next one!

Well, I did a lot of reading online. There really are so many options. Some people prefer all-in-one or pocket diapers that are very much like disposable diapers, and other people prefer the prefolds with covers or fitteds with covers. Newborns can be so small, I wanted to have some fitteds and prefolds, especially since hubby will be home with the baby while taking online classes. Then for going out, we’ve got some pocket diapers.

There’s so much cute stuff out there, however, that it’s hard not to want to buy too much! It’s just like cute clothes … they get outgrown, too, but if they’re well taken care of, they’re definitely reusable for the next baby. 😀

Some good places to check out are the diaper pin and diaper swappers. I’ve gotten a wealth of useful information from both places!
